Some friends are just incredible.
On some days where they completely messed up and made me ridiculously angry at them, they always patiently let me pour out all the disappointments, frustrations and anger at them. Not because they think they deserve them, but I think because some friends just simply care about their friendships more than they care about the unpleasant experience of a few yellings and swearings.
These kind of friends, I can yell at them "I hate you" a dozen times and they won't even flinch. Instead, they'll offer me a balloon or ice cream or something ridiculously awesome to cheer me up. In the end, we should realise that, oh well we all mess things up every now and then, not that we want to. Call it short circuit, or computer error, but there are some days our brains aren't just thinking straight, and we make mistakes.
So when a friend is making so much effort in mending the friendship they have with us, despite all the cold shoulders we've given them, we really need to look beyond our silly pride and think twice, do we really want to throw away a friend who cares so much for us? After all, forgiving someone is always reliefing right?
